4.14.2Disconnect an agent without signing it out
- Settings → Providers → Disconnect on your own machine now turns an agent off in AFK Pilot and leaves its CLI signed in, so Connect brings it back without signing in again. On a Cloud machine the button still reads Sign out and clears the sign-in, because nothing else on that machine will.
- The context meter after
/compact. In Codex and Claude Code conversations it drops to the compacted size when the compaction finishes, and keeps it after a reload. - Quotes, dividers and more heading levels render in replies, plans and workflow output, and in the desktop file preview, instead of showing their raw characters.
- On Linux, “OS secure storage is unavailable” says why. Grok Build Desktop names the password store it picked and suggests the
--password-storeoption to try for GNOME or KDE.
Thanks to @wayneadams and @zfzfg for the Markdown work (#201).
4.14.3Choose how much context Grok keeps
- A Context window dropdown in the context popup of a Grok conversation: 256K or 500K for Grok 4.7.
/context-window 500kdoes the same. Switching to a smaller size that the conversation already fills past 70% asks first, because Grok may compact the conversation on your next message. It appears when the model offers more than one size, with Grok CLI 1.0.46 or newer. - Compact conversation is the context popup's primary button, so it reads as the popup's action in every theme.
Thanks to @zfzfg (#205), and to @FireInWinter for finding the CLI feature.
4.15.0AFK Pilot is the name, Antigravity joins, and Projects are the folders you chose
- The extension is now called AFK Pilot. Same extension and ID (
PawelHuryn.grok-vscode-phuryn); your settings, keybindings and conversations are unchanged. Search “AFK Pilot” in Extensions. - Google's Antigravity, experimental, on your own computer. Turn it on in Settings → Advanced, then connect with your Google account or a Gemini API key. With a key you get every Gemini chat model the key can reach, Gemini 4 Argon included, and a new conversation starts on Argon unless its project remembers another model. The key stays inside AFK Pilot and never reaches the agent. It is not available on Cloud machines, it is signed in at the computer, and it has no Plan mode or connectors yet.
- Projects are the folders you chose. In VS Code the list used to include every folder any agent had run in; it now holds the folder VS Code has open, the folders you added, created or cloned, and any folder you pinned, coloured, gave an icon or archived. The first time you send in a conversation whose folder is not a project, a small strip offers to add it.
- Recent shows what you actually did: the conversations you sent a message in through AFK Pilot, plus those you opened in the last three days. Lists show the last 30 days; older conversations stay on disk exactly as they were.
- Messages name the agent you are using, as in “Claude is thinking”. Claude Code starts new conversations in its own Auto mode, and its default model says which model it is, for example “Default (Opus 5.5)”.
- Faster and steadier. The Projects rail fills in a second or two instead of over a minute on a long history. The model chip waits for the models instead of opening on the previous conversation's. A click on a conversation always opens it. And Muse Code says why a turn failed, for example a reached subscription limit, instead of “Internal error”.
4.15.1Muse Code sees pictures and shows its reasoning
- Muse Code sees an attached picture. Sending an image to a Muse conversation used to fail with “Internal error” before Muse was asked; now the picture reaches Muse, and a model that reads images, such as Muse Wonder, answers about it.
- Muse Code's reasoning shows with Show thinking traces, live and when you reopen the conversation, like the other agents'. Muse writes these summaries on harder work at higher effort.
- A command waiting for your approval shows up to 10 lines instead of 4, so most commands can be read before you answer. The rest is one click away under View all.
- The desktop app no longer crashes on Linux when the terminal it was started from closes.
Thanks to zpanos74, padixa and ajkessel for the reports and requests.
What the month means for each agent
- Grok Build: you choose the context window, 256K or 500K for Grok 4.7.
- Muse Code: it reads attached pictures, its reasoning shows with the other agents', a failed turn says why, and its settings sit in their own group under Muse in Settings → Providers.
- Codex: the context meter is right after
/compact, and its auto-accept mode is called by its own name, “Full access”. - Claude Code: new conversations start in Claude's own Auto mode, the default model names itself, auto-accept is called “Bypass permissions”, and the context meter is right after
/compact. - Antigravity: new this month, as an experimental agent on your own computer.
